The Faculty of Geosciences, University of Münster, invites applications for a

Professor of Geochemistry (salary scale W3)

in the Institut für Mineralogie.

Applicants should have a strong background in both research and teaching with emphasis in the area of isotope and trace element geochemistry applied to understanding mechanisms and geochronology of mantle and crustal processes. A fieldwork element is desirable. The ideal candidate will have broad interests in geosciences with an established track-record in publications and research funding as well as an international research profile in mass spectrometry and/or in-situ methods.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching B.Sc.- and M.Sc.-level courses in geochemistry, supervising postgraduate students as well as participating in the organisation of field trips.

Prerequisite for the application are scientific achievements as a junior professor and/or a postdoctoral lecture qualification (habilitation) or as a research scientist at a school of higher education/university, non-university institute, industry, administration, or other fields of society within or outside Germany.
