7th Planet Formation Workshop 2011 in Göttingen

We are pleased to announce the

7th Planet Formation Workshop

that will take place during February 14-15, 2011
at the Georg-August-University Goettingen (Germany).


RATIONALE:
----------
After the discovery of more than 400 extrasolar planets, recent new
observations within our own Solar System, the process of planet
formation and the subsequent evolution of planetary systems in general
has received the highest ever attention of the scientific community,
on theoretical as well as observational side.

In continuation of the Planet Formation Workshops Series in Germany, the
aim of this meeting is to bring together scientists from diverse
fields again (e.g. astronomy, planetary science, mineralogy and laboratory work)
to engage and continue an active and interdisciplinary discussion.
